Pavel Chiriac

Pavel was born and raised in Romania where at age of six he was selected to attend a specialized School of Arts for the talented children. There he was educated in classical music ( violin and piano), and later obtained Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from George Enesco University as well as a Professor in Ordinary Diploma in violin and viola from the same institution. After immigrating to Canada, Pavel attended the University of Victoria, studying violin and chamber music with members of the Lafayette String Quartet. In Canada, as a violinist Pavel performed as Concertmaster for Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra, Okanagan Symphony Orchestra (contract player 7 years) Also he performed with: Victoria, Nanaimo,Prince George and Kmloops Orchestras. He also teaches violin at British Columbia Conservatory of Music, Bonsor C.C. Edmonds CC and at Kerrisdale CC since 2013. Many of Pavel's students have won awards in music festivals,international auditions,and GOLD and SILVER MEDALS for highest marks in their Royal Conservatory violin EXAMINATIONS.
