Harry Charalambous

Sensei Harry, Head Instructor of Butokukan Canada Karate began his Martial Arts training in 1970 and has been a black belt for over 43 years. Butokukan Canada is an evolving martial arts system. As the senior ranking black belt he has been responsible for incorporating more wrist locks and pressure point techniques, and adding a number of new katas. Although he teaches all ages, Sensei Harry especially enjoys teaching children. Observing their development into strong young people with more self-confidence and knowledge skills that help them in their daily lives is what has kept Sensei Harry engaged and teaching all these years.

Casey Cleland

Casey, a Black Belt with Butokukan Canada Karate, has been involved with Martial Arts since 1982 when he started training with Sensei Harry at KCC. In addition, he holds a Shodan rank with Shotokan Karate and has studied Aikido, Jujitsu and Police Judo. In addition, he has tactical self defense training with BC Sheriffs.

Ian McBean

Ian, a Black Belt in Butokukan Canada Karate, has been involved with Martial Arts since 1984 when he started training with Sensei Harry at KCC. In addition he is currently studying Shimbukan Kobudo, ( Traditional Okinawan Weaponry) and Medieval and Early Modern Europe Martial Arts ( For example Renaissance Swordplay).
